IHC GUSTO was involved with the structural design of the future drill room.

Hugo Vet from FUGRO ENGINEERS created the artist impression of the drill room. The impression is based on the design as after the meeting of December 15, 2003. In the meantime the design has been slightly modified.

At the same time we do the utmost increasing the available deck space and to reduce the amount of trip hazards on the work decks. As part of this plan we would be installing the manual tongs submerged in the deck as per a FUGRO ENGINEERS’ design. On April 9, 2004 the drill room conversion was completed.
